Yes! All online classes are recorded, and you’ll receive lifetime access to both Tasha Blank’s DJ Essentials and our Mariposa Movement curriculum sessions.

DJ Essentials is the foundational phase of the New Earth DJ Immersion — where you build the technical skills, intuitive fluency, and embodied confidence to begin your journey as a DJ.

Whether you’re brand new to mixing or looking to sharpen your craft, this module walks you through the essentials of gear setup, music management, beatmatching, and set building — all from a perspective that honors DJing as a sacred art.

You’ll learn to:

• Set up your gear and troubleshoot with ease

• Organize and build a powerful, purpose-driven music library

• Beatmatch, blend, and transition between tracks manually (no relying on sync!)

• Understand phrasing, energy flow, and how to shape a dance floor dynamically

• Begin curating intentional sets that move people emotionally, somatically, and spiritually

From genre-bending freedom to loop-based layering and EQ mastery, DJ Essentials is your initiation into mixing with meaning — not just playing songs, but weaving energy.

This is where you lay the groundwork — not only for your technical skill, but for your role as a sonic steward of the New Earth.

In addition to Tasha Blank’s pre-recorded DJ Essentials curriculum (our technical “textbook” for beatmatching, mixing, and building a solid DJ foundation), you’ll receive immersive training in the Mariposa Movement methodology — our signature approach to guiding and hosting ceremonial dance journeys.

✨ This is where the art of DJing meets the power of embodiment. You’ll learn how to weave music into transformational arcs, create ritual containers on the dance floor, and transmit the pulse of Mama Earth through sound. Together, we’ll explore:

• Ceremonial DJing as Leadership — learn to read the energy of a room and hold dancers safely in an alchemical journey of release, remembrance, and joy.

• Sacred Space Design — practices for opening, tending, and closing ceremonies; working with the elements, ritual, and embodied intention to make each set a living prayer.

• Somatic & Dance/Movement Therapy Tools — grounding your DJ artistry in the body’s wisdom so you can guide participants into deeper states of connection, expression, and healing.

• Energetics of Music & Movement — how to harness tempo, genre, and key to shift collective states, activate archetypal energies, and move people beyond performance into transformation.

🎶 Where this fits in the Mariposa Movement Pathway:

• Foundations (Level 1): A deep dive into Somatic Dance, facilitation skills, and the roots of Dance/Movement Therapy.

• New Earth DJ (Level 2): A bridge between the technical world of DJing and the ceremonial world of transformational facilitation. You’ll touch into Foundations-level practices (like sacred spaceholding) while focusing on embodying your role as a DJ Priestess/Guide.

• Plant Medicine Pilgrimage (Level 3): A plant medicine-based retreat for advanced facilitators, deepening on the path of embodied leadership.

By the end of New Earth DJ, you won’t just know how to mix tracks — you’ll know how to weave frequencies, element, and embodied practice into dance journeys that change lives and shift collective consciousness. 🦋

The 10-day in-person retreat at Selva Armonia (August 20-30, 2026) is the ceremonial heart of the New Earth DJ Immersion — a transformative convergence of DJ training, movement, ritual, and embodied leadership.

Set in the lush jungles of Costa Rica, this retreat is where we:

• Merge technical DJ skill with somatic practice, elemental connection, nature immersion, and embodied ritual

• Deepen into set curation, sound mastery and embodied mixing

• Explore voice activation, sacred leadership on the mic, and the art of crafting transformational dance journeys

• Participate in elemental ceremonies (Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Space) to align with the forces of nature as co-facilitators

• Receive guidance from an inspiring team of guest facilitators, musicians, and tech mentors

• Practice in peer-led DJ pods, community labs, and real-time sacred set shares

You’ll leave this experience not just more skilled — but more embodied, expressed and empowered.

✨ What to Expect: Live DJ sets and dances with Aliza and team, immersive DJ training sessions, nature-based ceremonies and adventures, deep sisterhood, elemental healing and connection and sacred graduation showcases.

After our immersive retreat in Costa Rica, we’ll gather again online for a powerful integration session and closing ceremony—a space to harvest the gifts of this leadership journey and anchor them into your body, your practice, and your sacred mission. This is where you’ll bring the threads of your experience into daily life and step forward with clarity, confidence and renewed purpose.

You’ll continue to be guided and supported by Aliza and our faculty of guest mentors through:

This space ensures you’re not alone as you integrate your transformation and begin bringing your medicine into the world.

Travel Information

The closest international airport to our retreat center is Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in San José, Costa Rica.

👉 Important: When booking, double-check your destination — we’re headed to San José, Costa Rica (not California!). Yes, it’s happened before!

🛂 Entry Requirement

Costa Rica requires all travelers to present proof of a return or onward ticket upon entry.

Tip: If you’d like to keep your return date open, you can book a return flight before you leave and cancel it within the 24-hour grace period after clearing customs.

🗓 When to Arrive

We highly recommend arriving at least one day before the retreat begins to allow time for rest, integration, and a soft landing before we start.

🚌 Group Shuttle

The shared group shuttle (included in your retreat fee) will depart SJO at 10:00 AM local time on Sunday, January 25th.

If you plan to arrive early to visit the beach or explore, please note you’ll need to arrange and cover your own transportation to the retreat center.

🚐 Travel Time to Selva Armonia

Selva Armonia is located in the lush hills above Uvita, approximately 3.5–4 hours by car from SJO, depending on traffic, road conditions, and weather.
