Hi! I'm Aliza Rivka, founder of Mariposa Movement. I'm a Board Certified Dance Movement Therapist, Licensed Creative Arts Therapist & Professional DJ Priestess here to remind you just how magical, powerful & capable you are.
I know what it’s like to feel a deep pull for more—more meaning, more connection, more alignment with your body and soul. I’ve been there: doing “all the right things” but still feeling like something was missing, like I wasn’t fully alive.
Seven years ago, while living near NYC, I experienced a wake-up call in the form of mysterious autoimmune symptoms. My body was speaking loud and clear: something had to change. When conventional solutions fell short, I turned inward and asked my body directly, “What do you need?”
The answer was transformative: visions of ocean, sunlight, and the lush green jungle canopy. Within six months, I was packing up my life and moving to Costa Rica. That leap into the unknown changed everything—my symptoms eased, and my life began to align with my soul’s calling.
Since then, I’ve devoted myself even more deeply to the dancing path, guiding thousands of people to liberation through movement and training people like you to effectively lead dance journeys.
