Aliza Rivka’s leadership in ecstatic dance and movement lends a portal to another world. I NEVER thought I'd be able to let go enough to truly reap the benefits of the practice, but Aliza's high energy, warmth, love and joy melted all my barriers and had me dancing like a priestess in a very short order. I was not looking to find myself in ecstatic dance, but after surrendering to the practice and the flow of energy, the result was nothing short of transformational. All I can express is my endless gratitude. You really have to experience this practice for yourself!

THE PREGAME
Once you enroll, you'll receive the Flight School Welcome Packet with reading assignments, movement homeplay, journaling prompts & playlists from Aliza to prepare you for the journey ahead!
MARCH-JUNE (CATERPILLAR CONSCIOUSNESS)
Opening Ceremony on March 22, 2023 via Zoom! This first trimester is all about embracing the gravity & form of your "caterpillar self". What limiting beliefs, blocks & cultural conditioning are ready to release? Starting where we are, we set a strong container for the journey ahead. This trimester covers the basics of ritual & dance facilitation, ancestral healing, the importance of the nervous system in somatic practice, & locates us within a context of dance/movement lineages. We also cover playlist creation & music genres, explore effective session structures & the history of movement as medicine.
JUNE-SEPTEMBER (ENTER THE CHRYSALIS)
This module begins with an 'entering the chrysalis' ritual to support you in surrendering to becoming the Butterfly. In this trimester, we dive deeper into the shamanic aspects of dance, dance as a form of energy work & the science of sound & vibration. This module supports the energetic & emotional work required to effectively lead from the body. Explore & clear all that's in the way of you embodying your most authentic self as you say yes to your highest path.
SEPTEMBER-DECEMBER (TAKING FLIGHT)
This trimester is all about bringing your butterfly brilliance to the world! Now that we've covered the basics of dance facilitation - plus the energetic & emotional work required to alchemize ego & effectively lead - we're ready to fly! This trimester is all about trusting your unique voice & vision and sharing your message boldly with the world! Learn to write from the body, create authentic messaging to attract your highest clients & shape your authentic brand. Receive resources for a thriving business & healthy community building. Dance even more deeply with the divine to create the highest vibrational dance floors! Plus, in this trimester, we LITERALLY take flight for our closing ceremony retreat in Costa Rica!!

HOW FLIGHT SCHOOL WAS BORN
As the world shut down in 2020 and called us into the cocoon of Covid times, I got on a plane to Costa Rica.
Why? Because my body said so.
My intuition screamed LOUDLY like a billboard in Times Square: COSTA RICA NOW. A full body sensation of knowing. Not something I could compute through my thinking brain. Though my rational mind was equally screaming “What! Are you crazy! What if you’re wrong! Now???” SOMETHING in me KNEW this was the next step of the dance.
BEST DECISION EVER.
What has unfolded the last 2 years in Costa Rica has been nothing short of magic. From living at a dreamlike retreat center during the pandemic + leading local dance community, to moving to a magical mountain and arriving in a partnership that lights me up – I couldn’t have planned this sh*t if I tried.
So what is that SOMETHING? that something that speaks to us through sensatioN
That something that is fully on our team. It's a deeper way of knowing – beyond the rational mind. Some call it INTUITION – some call it 'the cosmic choreographer.' Whatever you call it, it's an inner guidance system beyond the rational mind that will take us to the most magical places once we learn how to hear it. It's available to all of us.

About aliza rivka
Aliza Rivka is the guide you meet when you’re ready to stop going through the motions and start living again. ​

After 32 years in New York City, Aliza left the concrete jungle for the jungles of Costa Rica because her body told her to. It took months of brutal body aches, depression & depletion for Aliza to finally look right into her body and ask: “What do you want?” ​
​
What arrived loud & clear was a flood of imagery: green jungle canopies, ocean warmth, sun on skin & lots of dance. Ingredients for health. An emerging recipe for a soul-based life.​
​
Within 2 months, Aliza was on the plane to Costa Rica (never before on her map) managing a dance retreat center near the beach. What’s unfolded since then has been nothing short of magic. Mission rebooted, autoimmune symptoms dissolved, Aliza now guides others in the art of quantum growth through dance.
Aliza is a Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist, an ordained Kohenet Hebrew Priestess & a certified DJ Witch via PhDJ. Her dance floors are literal jungle parties where nature gets down with us & a new earth births between beats. When Aliza’s on the decks, our bodies breathe better & sound systems pulse to the deeper prayer of Pachamama.
