Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?

Yoga is best practiced in comfortable clothing and bare feet. Shorts, sweats, or fitness clothes are fine, but nothing too baggy that may inhibit your movement or the teacher's ability to see your alignment.

What should I bring?

Bring a yoga mat, towel (optional), and water.

Can I do yoga?

Everyone can do yoga. If you have serious health problems, consult your health care provider before beginning any exercise program, and tell me about any conditions.

What if I'm new to yoga?

I encourage new students to begin slowly, respect their level, practice on a regular basis, listen to their body, focus on their breathing, and observe the subtle changes as they progress. With practice, an increased range of movement and sense of inner well being will emerge.

To grow is to go beyond what you are today.
                               Stand up as yourself.
                        Do not imitate.
Do not pretend to have achieved your goal.
and do not try to cut corners. Just try to grow."
